How 360dialog works today
From the 360dialog pricing page (accessed September 27, 2026), prices as published in euros:
- Official only. 360dialog gives access to the WhatsApp Business Platform. Every plan is "+ Meta WhatsApp messaging fees".
- WhatsApp API plans, per number per month. Regular at €49, Premium at €99 and Scale at €500. Regular includes 24/7 human support with a first response under 4 hours; Scale goes up to 1,000 messages per second.
- Partner Platform for software companies. Starter at €250 per month plus €49 per regular channel, Growth at €500 plus €25, Premium at €1,000 plus €15, with zero markup on messages.

When to choose 360dialog
- You only need the official WhatsApp API and want a provider focused entirely on it.
- You need published support SLAs and high throughput per number, such as the Scale plan.
- You are a platform onboarding many official accounts and the Partner Platform's per-channel pricing fits your model.
When to choose D-API
- Your customers are split between official and unofficial. Larger accounts want the official channel; smaller ones want to connect the number they already use. D-API serves both with the same send routes. Compare them in official vs unofficial API.
- Per-message cost doesn't fit your plan. On the unofficial WhatsApp API, D-API bills per connection only, and the tier price drops as you add connections. See pricing.
- You need groups or free-form outreach. Those run on the unofficial connection. See the WhatsApp groups API.
- You want one provider for the whole channel. Webhooks with retries and exponential backoff, per-instance isolation, a dedicated IP per unofficial connection, and WhatsApp voice calls (VoIP) included at no extra cost.
Adding D-API next to 360dialog
Many teams don't replace the official provider on day one. They add D-API for the unofficial side first and move official numbers later, if at all:
- Create a test account and connect an unofficial number to validate sending and webhooks.
- Put your WhatsApp sending behind one internal interface, with 360dialog and D-API as two implementations.
- Adapt your webhook receiver to the D-API envelope (

Why would I want the unofficial WhatsApp API if I already have the official one?
Some use cases don’t fit the official API: connecting a number that is already in use on a phone by scanning a QR code, starting free-form conversations without a template, or working with groups. On D-API those run through the same integration, with no per-message fee on the unofficial side.
Can I move an official number from 360dialog to D-API?
Moving an official number between providers follows Meta’s rules, and the timing doesn’t depend only on us. Confirm the process with both providers before starting and plan a window with no active campaigns.
