How it works

  2. Enter the credentials (access key, secret, endpoint, bucket) in the D-API dashboard.

  3. Choose whether sent and/or received media should be stored in the bucket.

  4. D-API starts returning URLs from your bucket in every media event.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an AWS account?
Not necessarily. Any S3-compatible provider works (self-hosted MinIO, Wasabi, Cloudflare R2, etc.).
Are the media files public?
No. We use pre-signed URLs with configurable expiration; the bucket can stay private.
Is there an extra cost for uploads?
Not from D-API. You only pay your S3 provider for storage and traffic.
